Early Times Reporter Srinagar | Apr 24 The selection committee of the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) today named 30 probable, including three internationals from the state Arun Malhotra (Choudhary), Mehraj-u-Din Wadoo and Ishraq Ahmed for the coaching camp during the three-day trials conducted at Polo Ground, here for the prestigious Santosh Trophy starting in the state from May 25. Now, these selected probable will be attending near a month long coaching camp at Bisco School from tomorrow under the guidance a Kolkatta based national coach Vishwajeet Battacharya. Vishwajeet has also been appointed as chief coach of the J&K team, who will be assisted by state coach, Abdul Majid Kakroo of Jammu and Kashmir Bank. “After a near month long coaching camp, the final 20-member team shall be announced by the selection committee of JKFA on May 22,” chief spokesman for the Santosh Trophy, Prof Bashir Ahmed Shah told Sports & Allied News. Senior Superintendent of Police and veteran footballer, Sheikh Mahmood has been nominated as manager of the team while Zahoor Ahmed Teli is assistant manager. The selected probable included 14 boys from the Jammu and Kashmir Bank, five from Jammu and Kashmir Police, four from State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) and three from J&K Forest. Only footballer selected from a local club is Danny Buraq of New Bharat. The probable: Tanvir Ahmed, Vikramjeet Singh, Wasim Feroz, Kamaljeet Singh, Billo Khan, Majid Yusuf, Imran, Manoj Kumar, Adil Qadir, Rizwan Sheikh, Shah Nawaz, Bilal Ahmed, Rohit Kumar, Mohit Verma (all J&K Bank), Ajay Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Gulzar Ahmed, Zubair Ahmed, Asif Majid (all J&K Police), Atif Pervez, Sanjeev Sharma, Shabir Ahmed, Harmanjeet Singh (all SRTC), Zamir-ul-Hakeem, Taufiq Ahmed, Manzoor Ahmed (J&K Forest), Danny Buraq (New Bharat), Arun Malhotra, Mehraj-u-Din Wadoo and Ishfaq Ahmed (all internationals).
