| Rugby Football: Islamia College lifts trophy | | | Early Times Reporter

Senior boys District Rugby Football Championship trophy went to Islamia College who beat Burn Hall School in the final played today at Polo Ground, here.
Third place in senior boys group was bagged by Linton Hall team which won the hardliner with a convincing margin.
The junior boys’ trophy in `Touch’ event went to Burn Hall School. Linton Hall bagged second place while Muslim Public School finished third.
In junior boys `Tackle’ event, Burn Hall School-A emerged the winner while Burn Hall-B remained runners-up. Third place was bagged by Linton Hall team.
In the final and prize distribution function, District Srinagar Youth Services and Sports Officer, G M Wani was chief guest, who distributed prizes among the winners of different age groups. President of the J&K State Rugby Football Association, Mushtaq Ahmed Jaan was guest of honour. Among others present in the concluding function were Irfan Aziz, general secretary of the Association. |
