J&K Police bosses encouraging "corruption" | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 14: Jammu and Kashmir policemen who have been asked by their bosses to set up nakas outside Manoranjan wine shop at Gole market in Gandhi Nagar and Royal Bar clearly indicate how top officials encourage their subordinates to indulge in corruption. The policemen who have been tasked by their bosses to disrupt the businesses of these two establishments know it very well that they have been empowered by their bosses to do whatever they like. Unbridled powers means that men in uniform start behaving like monarchs and this leads to entire system becoming corrupt. The policemen know it very well that if they appease their bosses and follow their instruction blindly. Tomorrow no one can take them to task for indulging in "unfair practices" as they always remain ready to oblige their bosses. What a sorry state of affairs! |
