JDA acts tough against encroachers, violators

JAMMU, Apr 16: Giving a tough signal to the encroachers of JDA and in compliance with the directions of High court of J&K State in WPPIL No. 19/2012 titled Ashish Sharma & Anr. V/s State & Ors., WPPIL No. 7/2014 titled Dewakar Sharma & Anr. V/s State & Ors., WPPIL No. 27/2014 titled Inderjeet Khajuria & Anr. V/s State & Ors., here today.
The action was taken on the direction of Vikas Sharma Vice Chairman, JDA the revenue wing of Jammu Development Authority under the close supervision of Sanjay Gupta, Director Land Management, JDA field inspection of Tehsil Bahu was undertaken by Shruti Bhardwaj, Tehsildar Bahu, JDA, Samridhi Sharma, Tehsildar Marh, JDA, Arjun Singh Naib Tehsildar, JDA Sartaj Singh and Ishtiaq Patwari JDA, Rajinder Choudhary, Naresh Kumar Khilafwarzi Inspectors, JDA along with field staff of JDA.
During the extensive field visit of Khasra No. 90 Channi Rama near Wave Mall, illegal commercial construction by M/s. New Motor Works was found, which was stopped by the JDA team and notice was issued. It is pertinent to mention here that the shuttering work of the same project was previously also demolished by the JDA. Another commercial construction over State land opposite Malik Market Masjid at Khasra No. 264, revenue village Channi Rama was also stopped and notice issued. Inspection of M/s. Shuhul Motors at National Highway Bye Pass road was also conducted by the team and it was asked to show the documents regarding title of the land on which Showroom was constructed but the management was failed to provide accordingly directions were given to the management to provide the documents regarding title of land within 5 days otherwise stern action under rule shall be taken against them. Continuing the surprise visit some illegal commercial works over plot No. 240, 241 & 242 over JDA land in residential New Bahu Fort Colony, Qasim Nagar which were blatant violation of existing Building permission norms were stopped. Strict warning were given to the encroachers and violators of Building Permission Norms under J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988 and J&K Development Act 1970.
