| DPS Nagbani conducts plantation drive | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 16: DPS Nagbani organised a tree plantation drive under the aegis of school's nature club in the premises of the school. The new students' comers participated enthusiastically in planting large number of saplings in the school campus. This initiative was taken to increase awareness about the values of trees and forests among the students and incline their interest towards them. It is very necessary that we teach environmental studies in the school, but unfortunately it remains only restricted to theory, whereas the practical aspect of teaching is neglected. The Plantation drive was headed by the principal of the school RK Verma who while addressing the students said that we as human beings should be conscious about our responsibility towards the preservation of environment and its cleanliness. He added that each one of us must plant trees every year to save the earth and the environment.
