JJSF seeks action against private schools for charging huge admission fees | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 17: Jammu Joint Students Federation (JJSF) has sought action against the private schools for charging huge amount on the name of admission fees/tution fees/annual charges. Addressing media persons at RS Pura, Dakhseesh Maharaj (State Vice President JJSF) said that administration should keep check on the private schools as they are violating norms and directions of court and are charging huge amount from parents every year on the name of admission fees/Tution fees/Annual charges etc. He said that some private schools are charging admissions fees every year and are also increasing monthly tuition fees every year which effects the general public alot. Dakhseesh further said that these private schools are compelling parents to buy book sets from schools or their favourite book sellers. He said that there are many unnecessary items in the book sets which parents doesn't need. He said that administration failed to implement the norms of education department and Court directions in the said matter. Dakhseesh demanded SDM R S Pura that a committee should be immediately formed to check these violations and stern action should be taken against those private schools. He said that extra charged charges from parents on name of development fees/annual charges/admission fees should be refunded back to the parents. Harjot Singh, Gurdeep khalsa, Tajveer singh, Ashutosh Sharma, Raghuvir Sharma were present on the occasion. |
