Jammu, Apr 21: Dr. Banarsi Lal, I/C, Senior Scientist-cum-Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) has received the 'Outstanding Researcher Award' during the International Convention on Interdisciplinary Research for Sustainable Development recently held at Chandigarh.
He was awarded for his remarkable contribution in the Mathematical Communication Model Building in the agricultural field. The awards were bestowed upon the individuals during the convention for their remarkable contributions in the field of Education, Research, Engineering and publications across the globe.Dr.Banarsi studies on attitude and beavioural research of the farmers, research papers in national and international journals as first author, books as first author, book chapters as first author, popular articles as first author, success stories as first author, case studies as first author, Radio/TV talks, invited talks, trainings imparted, consultancy services, SHGs/Farmers Clubs managed, varieties acknowledged under PPV&FRA act, research and extension technologies disseminated, efforts for organic agriculture and medicinal plants, projects services undertaken etc. were also considered for the coveted award. |
