Early Times Report RAJOURI, May 1: Labour Department today organized an Awareness camp at Mandir Galla, Kotranka, to commemorate International Labour Day. As part of the event, inspection of various establishments were conducted to check menace of child labour and implementation of various labour laws including Petrol filling stations, bus stand, under construction sites of Govt Medical College and Employment & Counselling Centre, Rajouri. Later, Assistant Labour Commissioner Angrej Singh also visited various construction sites for major projects to make the people aware about the different labour laws and various welfare schemes of Jammu and Kashmir Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JKBOCWWB). The Department distributed Pamphlets in hindi and Urdu regarding BOCW Schemes among the workers and done on-spot registration under JKBOCW. Besides, the Labour department in collaboration with GREF established 5 registration centers at GREF establishments to enroll unorganized workers for pension scheme Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-dhan (PM-SYM). |
