Jammu, May 3: A local court on Friday granted six days police remand to National Conference leader and former MLA from RS Pura, Gagan Bhagat who was arrested Thursday for assaulting a woman Sarpanch.
Meanwhile, in an application filed by Gagan Bhagat, the Municipal Magistrate Jammu directed police to file case diary on Saturday.
Bhagat was arrested by the police in FIR No. 66/2019 which was was registered by Sarpanch Seema Kumari in RS Pura three days ago after both had entered into heated exchanges on the issue of installation of electric transformer in a village. |
