Cheap & best schooling is not possible within private sector: JPS & EIA | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 13: Jammu Pvt. Schools & ETT Institutes Association-(Progressive) alleged that a particular and newly emerged group was agitating against fee structure of private schools in the name of parents of school going wards which has no logic except a so-called political projection. They must be aware of the basic facts i.e. on one hand, state govt. is paying minimum Rs. 30000/- to its school teacher working within a corrupt & unviable infrastructure with no accountability whereas on the other hand, only few CBSE schools are paying Rs.15000-20000 to their teaching staff against monthly tuition fee of Rs. 3000/ to Rs. 4000/- + transport charges with an answerable working, association added. Though merely less than 5% parents are the clients of such school and those have no grievances, it added. Similarly, the next category of parents i.e. 70% to 95% are the middle class parents who seem keen to avail best but at cheaper rates which can't be possible in view of required maintenance of building infrastructures & non availability of good teaching staff at low wages, it further added. Pertinent to mention here that agitating group of parents belongs to the said category of middle class parents who no doubt have to face crisis for survival but their resentment based on miscalculations can't be justified, association added. Working of 3rd. category private schools either have to compromise on many fronts or have to maintain their respectable survival in a hand to mouth situation, agitators also must be aware of it, association further added. |
