| Highway ban: Hearing on July 22 | | |

Srinagar, May 14: In a Public Interest Litigation filed by former IAS officer-turned-politician Shah Faesal seeking quashment of the ban on civilian traffic on Srinagar-Jammu National highway, a Division Bench of High Court comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Tahsi Rabstan fixed July 22 for consideration of matter.
When the PIL came-up for hearing, the court observed that senior AAG has submitted that Supreme Court of India by an order dated May 6, 2019 has refused to entertain the prayer made by the petitioners challenging the very order of the state government which has been challenged by way of these petitions. |
