| Shopkeeper held for selling liquor | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, May 16: Police arrested a shopkeeper for illegal sale of liquor from his shop in Bathuni village of Rajouri.
A team of police headed by SHO Rajouri Ajaz Haider under the supervision of Incharge DySP HQrs, Chowdhary Latif was on routine patrolling on the highway between Salani and Kallar when some suspicious activity was noticed inside a shop located in Bathuni market on the main highway.
On this, the patrolling team raided the said shop from where 27 bottles of illicit liquor were seized which the shopkeeper was selling among the locals.
Shopkeeper identified as Ajay Kumar son of Babu Ram resident of Bathuni has been arrested. A case FIR no 277/2019 under sections 48A/50A Excise Act has been registered in police station Rajouri. |
