JAMMU, May 16: Continuing its crackdown against drug menace under Operation Sanjeevani, Police Jammu arrested a drug peddler in Panjtirthi and recovered banned injections.
A joint a police party of District Special Branch, Jammu, led by DySP Zahid Saif Wani, and PP Panjtirthi, led by SI Vinod Sharma, apprehended one person, namely, Amit Rana, son of Late Bhupinder Singh, resident of H.no.74 Chougan Slathia, Panjtirthi and recovered 725 banned injections of Rexogenic (Buprenorphine), Diazelab (Diazepam) and Promethazine Hydrochloride from his possession.
In relation to this, case FIR No. 82/2019 under section 8/21/22 of NDPS Act has been registered at PS Pacca Danga and accused has been arrested.
Furthermore, the said accused was also involved in two cases in P/S Pacca Danga - FIR No. 60/2013 under section 4/25 Arms Act, 323/341 RPC and FIR No. 114/2018 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act.
