| Local stages protest demonstration, block NH44 | | |  Early Times Report
RAMBAN, May 16: Residents of Chanderkote area of district Ramban staged protest demonstration against administration and Wild Life Department and blocked Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in support the demands, here today.
Locals said that fifteen sheep and goats were killed by leopard attack besides this the wild animal also attack on a lady, but the concern authorities is in deep slumber.
They said after repeating plea to the administration nothing has been done so far in this regard which forced us to block NH44. People are living under constant threat of leopard as the animal now started attacking on the locals of the area.
They said that more than a dozen livestock have been killed by wild animals in past few months in the area also.
Meanwhile, after the intervention of Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramban Asgar Malik who assured them that their issues will be redress at earliest, the protest came to end. |
