| Dozens of files biting dust in SDM' s office for PRC | | | M S Nazki

Poonch, May 16: Dozens of files are reportedly biting dust in the office of Sub Divisional Magistrate Mendhar for issuance of Permanent Resident Certificates to locals but the SDM Dr Sahil Jandial seems to be powerless to issue certificates to locals.
Sources said that there were dozens of files which were biting dust in SDM's office at Mendhar of the belonging to Mendhar , Mankote and Balakote tehsils who have apllied for issuance of Permanent Resident certificates. Locals said the PRCs were the important document which needs to be attached with every testimonial for various reasons but due to unknown reasons the SDM office failed to issue the same to locals.
Unconfirmed source said that Dr Sahil Jandial has taken over as SDM Mendhar in February last and for the last three months he has not been vested powers by the highest seat of state administration.
Sources said that DDC have earlier shot a number of letters to the higher ups in this regard but no action was taken sources added.
Meanwhile Mendhar Youth Club Chairman Advocate nadeem Rafiq Kahn has urged the Governor to keep in view the urgency of people of district and confer vested powers to the SDM to issue PRC s to locals . |
