| Various originations stage protest against minor girl’s rape | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 16: The Joint Front of All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations, Jammu Muslim Front, Sikh Nojawan Sabha, Gujjar Federation, Majdoor Dastkar Union & NSOSYF A students & Youth Front Thursday staged a protest demonstration at Press Club, Jammu against the rape of a minor girl at Bandipur and a girl at Ganderbal area of Kashmir. Where in protester were carrying play-cards and shouting slogans like "We demand justice to our girls and Death to the Rapist", "Hang the Rapist"and demanding justice & stern punishment to the culprit behind the act. while pressing R K Kalsotra, State President Confederation said justice should be delivered in quick time to the victim girls , "We hope this time justice would be given to the victim immediately." "We will not tolerate such heinous crimes in our society," Kalsotra also raised Alwar Gang Rape of April 26, wherein six miscreants accosted the woman and her husband on the Thanagazi-Alwar bypass and took them to an isolated place, where they allegedly raped her in front of him. Kalsotra criticised the Rajasthan government for filing FIR late and demanded speedy trial to hang the rapist. Shuja Zaffar Chairman, Jammu Muslim Front said we demand that there should be a death sentence for such crimes and the enquiry should be on scientific ground and polygraph test of accused be carried to assertion the effect moreover system of investigation needs to be upgraded more on modern lines. |
