36 bovines animals rescued, 2 notorious smugglers nabbed | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 22: Police foiled a bid to smuggle bovines at Arnas in Reasi district and arrested two smugglers were nabbed by rescuing 36 bovine animals. An information was received from a reliable source at Police Station Arnas that some persons indulged in smuggling of bovine animals and on way towards Kashmir via Chillad by foot. On this information, a team of Police personnel deputed from SPP Chilladh and laid a naka at Jaman Gali. During naka duty, two bovine smugglers were intercepted alongwith 36 bovine animals, on seeing the police party the accused persons tried to flee away, but on the hectic efforts of the Police team both the accused persons have been chased and identified as Mohammad Sahfi son of Mohammad Ayoub resident of Chilladh, Jamal Din son of Husssaina resident of Dansal Tehsil Arnas District Reasi. Both the accused persons have been arrested and rescued 36 Bovine animals from the clutches of accused persons. On this Case FIR No. 35/2019 under section 188 RPC was registered and investigation started. The whole operation was conducted under the supervision of Ashok Sharma SDPO Arnas and Shiv Kumar Chauhan Additional SP Reasi and under the overall control and command of Nisha Nathyal JKPS, SSP Reasi.
