Early Times Report Kishtwar, May 22: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana today made a visit to the water filtration plants. General Manager NHPC, Yoginder Kotha, XEN PHE, Sudesh Kotwal, Vice President Municipal Committee Kishtwar, Firdous Ahmed Mingnoo, AEE PWD, AEE PHE, JE besides concerned officials remained present. DDC took stock of the functioning of the filtration plants having the capacity of 1,00000, 90,000 and 50,000 gallons per day with the reservoirs. During the detailed inspection, DDC issued directions to Executive Engineer PHE, Sudesh Kotwal to ensure that cleaning agents like alum/ bleaching powder/chlorine be used in the plants with proper testing so that clean water be supplied to the inhabitants. It was informed by the XEN PHE that in order to meet the shortage of water in the town and in low lying area three number of lines are being laid down viz from filtration plant to Bus Stand, filtration plant to Mailpeth, Filtration plant to Salamkaie, Bunastan. DDC instructed the concerned contractor to start the work of laying pipeline from Filtration plant to Bus stand and complete the same within 15 days. DDC directed concerned XEN PHE to submit the detailed report of the projects within two days. Meanwhile enroute, DDC also listened the grievances of the general public and on spot requisite directions were issued to concerned officers. |
