| 6 bovine animals rescued, 2 sumgglers arrested | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, May 22: In continuation to strict measures to thwart conspiracies of bovine smugglers, Police teams rescued 6 bovine animals in the jurisdiction Police Post Nagri and Basantpur.
A police team of Police Post Basantpur led by SI Maninder Singh, Incharge Police Post Basantpur during checking duty near satwain intercepted one Mahindra load carrier bearing registration JK08G-6129 illegally carrying bovine animals.
In this process, Police saved 4 bovine animals and arrested bovine smuggler namely Pawan Kumar son of Sharam Chand R/o Dhrabal Tehsil Bani Kathua.
In another Police action in the jurisdiction of Police Post Nagri , Police team led by SI Jai Paul Incharge Police Post Nagri during surprise checking at Pandori bridge intercepted Mahindra load carrier bearing registration no PB10DE-0153 illegally carrying 2 bovine animals.
In the process, Police saved 2 more bovine animals and arrested an Inter-state bovine smuggler namely Younis Massi son of Khursheed Massi resident of Awankha District Gurdaspur Punjab.
Police seized both the vehicles and registered cases under relevant sections of the Law. Further investigation into the case is going on |
