| Om Nagar residents protest against unhygienic condition of locality | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 10: Residents of Om Nagar staged a protest demonstration against former MLA BJP and JMC for their failure to ensure improved lanes and drains in the area.
The protest held under the banner of Yuva Panthers (YP) at Talab Tillo, Jammu was led by Kapil Dev Mehra (Vice President YP Jammu West) in the presence of Partap Singh Jamwal (State Vice President YP).
Addressing the gathering, Partap Singh Jamwal alleged that the former MLA and Corporator is hardly visible in the area as they hardly visited their locality after being elected.
He said that Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has become a mockery. He said that the Om Nagar is the most backward, undeveloped and a dirtiest ward of the state, all the development is at halt for the last three years. He said there is very poor drainage system in the ward, all the drains of the ward are in worst dilapidated condition, overflowing with garbage water.
Partap Singh Jamwal alleged that JMC has failed to improve the bad condition of lanes and drains in the locality despite repeated alarm to the concerned authority. |
