Leopard caught while venturing on road | | | Kishtwar, June 24: A leopard was caught by the wildlife department Kishtwar after people saw it venturing on road side in Chingam area of Chatroo Sub Division in Kishtwar District. As per the details available with Early Times, after the local people and the passerby who travel on Kishtwar-Chatroo-Srinagar National Highway notice the free movement of a leopard on the road inform the wildlife department Kishtwar about same. After receiving the information about the venturing of leopard on road immediately rush to the spot and captured the wild cat with the help of the local people and shifted it to wildlife office Kishtwar where his condition is being monitored. In the video captured by the local people, the wild animal could be seen calm and non violent beside people could also been seen in the video walking with the wild cat which suggested that the animal could be ill and weak as a result of which his behaviour was calm and non violent. At Kishtwar the veterinary Doctors on the request of the wildlife department are attending the wild cat and are taking care of his health before he will be shifted to Jammu zoo.
