JAMMU, July 11: An emergent meeting of All Jammu and Kashmir Electric Worker Union was held today under the Chairmanship of Anil Singh Slathia, Sr.Vice President of the Union. In the meeting all the working body members and members were present. During the meeting various issues of the employees especially linemen and workers were discussed thoroughly. Anil Singh Slathia, Sr.Vice President while addressing the workers, said that the PDD and higher authorities are not giving judicious view to the Linemen and Works of the Department. In his address, he emphasized that Departmental Promotion Committee be constituted and DPC held so that the posts are created. All Daily wagers be regularized which includes PDL/TDL, Release of wages to employees who have been appointed on need bases, since these employees are facing hardships. Demanded promotion regularization of PDL/TDL in terms of Cabinet Decision No.151/23, vide Communication No.PDD/VI-34/2010 Dt.03-09-2012. While -concluding, the leader said that in case DPC is not held on 15/16 July,2019, the Union will go for pen down/Tool down strike. And demanded regularization of D/Wagers immediately since in Valley upto 2012 D/Ws have been regularized, whereas in Jammu Province after 1997 no D/Ws have been regularized, this disparity needs to be removed. |
