While addressing the meeting, Pt RC Sharma urged the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu to pay surprise visit in the base camp at night to access the problems and difficulties being faced by the yatries. He said that there is huge scarcity of drinking water in this scorching heat as there are very less water cooler as compared with the influx of the yatries. He also said that during night hours there is no shop/canteen in the premises of Base Camp and the yatries have to face difficulties in getting eatables at night. Mentioning about difficulties in getting traveling tickets from SRTC counter, he said that there is only one ticket counter in the premises of Base Camp which is blatantly creating difficulties in getting tickets to travel ahead and it is suggested that at least ten ticket counters should be opened to facilitate the yatries. |
