BJP lacks guts to observe July 13 as Black Day | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 14: All off-shoots of Sangh Parivar had observed July 13 as Black-Day to register protest against glorifying first communal attack on minorities of J&K as Martyrs' Day but the self-styled nationalist leadership of J&K BJP could not muster guts to observe this day as "Black Day"- thanks to lust of power. Credible sources in the state BJP said that a group within the party had proposed the idea of observing July 13 as Black Day but top leadership of the party lacked guts because leadership wanted to keep PDP, NC and Peoples Conference in good humour. "Instead of openly observing day as Black Day to counter communal and anti-national elements, BJP leadership preferred to maintain a distance because top leaders are hoping that in the days to come they have to form government with Kashmir centric parties", sources said. Shockingly not even a single top leader of BJP has issued statement on July 13 despite the fact that it was earlier decided to observe this day as "Black Day". Instead of participating in any programme of Black Day, BJP leaders preferred to maintain a long distance from all such events to keep Kashmir centric parties in good humour. Credible sources said that there was strong anger among workers and leaders of off-shoots of Sangh Parivar against attitude of J&K BJP leaders who are ready to glorify "rioters as martyrs" for the lust of power. Sources said that BJP leadership is still in touch with some Kashmir centric parties so J&K unit of the party never wanted to annoyed these Kashmir centric because local leaders are hoping that in the forthcoming assembly elections party has to form government with a Kashmir centric party. |
