| JJSF demands open admissions in Cluster University | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, July 15: JJSF today held a massive protest demonstration at Cluster University campus GGM Science College Jammu against the dictatorial attitude of administration regarding the admission process in the colleges coming under the Cluster University. Hundreds of the aspirants who are struggling to get the admission in the City Colleges for the session 2019-20 were treated mercilessly and were bluntly refused by the University administration for admission. After seeing the dictatorial attitude of the administration the aspirants under the leadership of Atul Sudan (State Vice President JJSF) started raising slogans against the Cluster University administration. Addressing the massive gathering of the admission seekers Atul Sudan said that it is very unfortunate that instead of increasing the capacity of the city college's the administration in connivance with the state government is hell bent to destroy the future of student community of Duggar region as the capacity of the city colleges was almost 15000 which is reduced to 6800 for this session. He said that students who have passed their higher secondary examinations have every right to take admission in the colleges for further studies. Atul reminded the students present there that in the year 2000 also JJSF had to lead an agitation for the admission seekers for almost one and half month to get all the students admitted in the city colleges and it was possible only when government decided to open two evening colleges in GGM Science college and MAM college. |
