BJP miserably fails to address various public issues: Pawar | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 18: Expressing her deep concern over casual approach being adopted by the BJP leadership in solving day to day problems of the common masses, Pradesh Mahila Congress president and Ex-MLA Indu Pawar on Thursday regretted that after getting votes the saffron party has virtually abandoned people of Jammu region. Addressing a meeting of party workers at Congress headquarters this afternoon, Pawar pointed out that residents of Jammu were confronting with numerous problems but BJP leaders were shamelessly busy in so-called membership campaign and raking up other irrelevant issues. "Most of the urban local bodies in Jammu region are under the control of BJP but these bodies have failed to provide basic civic amenities to the people," she regretted and pointed out that on-going monsoon season has exposed tall claims of these civic bodies. Pointing towards problems being faced by the womenfolk, former MLA regretted that thousands of cases of widow and old aged pensions have been pending but due to non- availability of funds no fresh pension has been released. She regretted that except making tall claims BJP leadership has failed to solve basic problems of the people. She further said that protest against non-availability of drinking water has become a routine affair because most parts of Jammu region are confronting with the acute scarcity of drinking water because previous PDP-BJP government had failed to implement any water supply scheme in needy areas. |
