ABVP stages protest, demands increase in number of seats | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 19: Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) members today staged a protest demonstration outside Commerce College and demanded increase in number of seats in the colleges, fall under Cluster University of Jammu. The protesters demanded for increase in number of seats in Science Commerce and arts stream in Cluster University and develop infrastructure for the same. The protesters alleged that VC Cluster University has allowed GDC Kunjwani to function inside MAM College, which is a college under Cluster University, and GDC Kunjwani should be run in some other institute. They said that more than 500 admission forms have been sold of GDC Kunjwani, who will now study inside MAM College premises, it would have been better if same number of intake capacity would have increased for MAM college. They also took out a rally from Gandhi Nagar to SPMR college where the students blocked the roads and later police had a scuffle with the students. |
