Will strive for change if I win: Munish tells people | Mass Contact Programme Completes 66 Days | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 29: Editor Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Monday ridiculed the politicians for taking credit of the development works which have taken place during Governor's rule in the state. Carrying forward his mass contact programme for 66th day in different areas today, Munish said, "When politicians were in power they had forgotten what the development is all about as they were busy in other works." "After losing power they have returned to people and are trying to tell them that they are the ones who are getting all the works done. They should stop misleading the people as the works are being done by the Governor's administration," said Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an Independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency. He said, "As the elections are drawing closer politicians are feeling the heat. They know it very well that they have nothing to sell as they left the electorate in lurch after winning the elections and forgot the people who had voted for them." Munish said, "It's unfortunate that even the benefits of the centrally sponsored schemes have not reached the Jammu region as our representatives made no attempt to strive for it." He said, "The areas which I have visited during the past two months present a dismal picture. Most of the areas in heart of Jammu city san basic amenities and pleas of the residents to get their day to day issues addressed have fallen flat on deaf ears." Munish urged people to vote for him and give him a chance to serve them. "I assure you that if I win the elections, I will strive for the change and would try to address the issues which touch the skin of a common man," he added. |
