Donald Trump is against mediation on Kashmir | | | Neither Pakistan nor India has been preparing for war against each other. This has been stated by the Indian Army Chief, Gen. Bipin Rawat who has stated that he downplayed any movement on either side of the Line of Control (LoC) and said every country does "precautionary" military movement, and it was nothing to be "concerned about. His remarks come at a time when India and Pakistan are sparring on the August 5 decision to remove Article 370 which granted special status to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. On being asked about reports of military movement by Pakistan along the LoC, General Rawat said: "Everybody will take precaution. Any country will do that, don't get too concerned about it." The General added: "If the adversary wants to activate the LoC, the choice is his" Neither Pakistan nor India is engaged in any warfare. On other hand the US President, Donald Trump has repeated himself by saying that since the US is not going to mediate on Kashmir because it is bilateral problem. Let Pakistan accept preconditions laid down by India which could start the precession of reopening of doors of dialogue. This indicates that Pakistan is crying wolf wolf without getting ready for war against India. And already Russia, Trump and China have stated that since Kashmir is a bilateral issue it is beyond the UNSC jurisdiction. China has too stated that since the Kashmir Issue was bilateral the issue could not be taken to the UNSC. Two things have been cleared. One thing is the possibility of war has been ruled out. Secondly the issue of Kashmir particularly its reorganisation cannot be taken to the UNSC. If Russia, he US and China are taken into confidence they too believe that Kashmir issue is a bilateral problem which can be resolved through bilateral talks indicating that talks should be held between Pakistan and India. This way it is a lesson for the people of Kashmir who plan to hold series protest demonstration over the revocation of Articles 370 and 35-A. Even the reorganisation of the state is bilateral problem which can be resolved through talks between India and Pakistan. |
