Jammu, Aug 15: The 73rd Independence Day of India, was celebrated at the Central University of Jammu with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu hoisted the National Flag at Rahya Campus. The Vice Chancellor while greeting the University fraternity, spoke about the spirit of nationalism, integrity, peace and brotherhood. He asserted that Educational Institutions, particularly Universities have a larger role in shaping the future generations for a progressive Nation. He also shared major development of the ongoing works in the campus, and pipeline projects for the further, structural and academic development of the University. Earlier, at the arrival of the Vice-Chancellor, Guard of Honour was presented by the Jammu University Security Guards led by Security Officer. Prominent amongst those who attended the function included Dr. Ravi Kumar Registrar Deans, HoDs, faculty members, students and staff members of the University. A huge gathering of teaching faculty, officers, staff, family members of the employees, students and scholars of University of Jammu participated in the function.
