KATHUA, Aug 18: District Development Commissioner, Kathua, Dr. Raghav Langer today reviewed the implementation of several centrally sponsored flagship programmes including PM-KISAN, KCC, PM-FBY, Soil Health Card and Agriculture Development activities.
Chief Agriculture Officer presented a detailed profile of the agriculture sector in the district and informed that a total of 61,815 farmers were covered under PM-KISAN scheme and 9,880 new farmers were also enrolled under this scheme. He also informed that online updating of left-over beneficiaries will be completed at the earliest.
The DDC also reviewed the progress made in three Sub Divisions, Dyala Chak, Basohli and Billawar in implementing PM-KISAN scheme. He directed the SDAOs to identify the duplication of farmers` detail and rectify the errors and omissions. Under PM-FBY, reporting time of crop loss by the farmers and claim settlement issues were also discussed threadbare.
The DDC constituted a committee comprising CAO, SDAOs of 3 Sub Division and Lead Bank Manager (LBM) to find out the number of rejected cases of last four cropping seasons and directed them to furnish the report to his office.
