Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 21: Traders Federation of Ware House-Nehru Market has demanded extension in dates for filing of income tax and GSTN returns in view of peculiar situation of the state. In a meeting of the Federation held today under the Chairmanship of Rattan Lal Gupta, President, in presence of Deepak Gupta, General Secretary, Dheeraj Gupta, Sr.Vc.President, Munish Mahajan, Vc.President, Sh. Abhimanyu Gupta, Secretary, Vishal Gupta, Cashier and many senior members of the Federation. The members discussed the difficulties being faced by the Traders of J&K in filing of GST returns due to suspension of internet services in J&K for the last so many days, resulting into total disruption in the business activities. Deepak Gupta said, "We hope that Government would provide necessary relief to augment trade once situation becomes congenial". Federation has requested Governor Satya Pal Malik and K.K.Sharma, Advisor to Governor to kindly take up the matter with Union Finance Minister for the extension of date for deposit and filing of GST and Income Tax returns till the restoration of Internet service across the State. |
