JAMMU, AUGUST 22: District Disaster Management Authority today approved 106 cases and sanctioned Rs 17.50 lakh relief for the affected persons here at a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Sushma Chauhan.
Present in the meeting were Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sub-District Magistrates, Assistant Commissioner, Tehsildars besides senior officers of concerned department.
A total of 106 cases of compensation of Bhalwal, Dansal, Jammu South, Jourian, Akhnoor, Marh, Pargwal and Nagrota tehsils for houses and crops besides loss of livestock lost in border shelling, floods and other natural calamities covered under SDRF norms were taken up for discussion.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure that the sanctioned amount should be disbursed among the beneficiaries within a week time. The compensation amount will be provided directly into the bank account of the beneficiaries
