Revocation of Article 35-A is guarantee for resolution of unemployment problem
8/23/2019 11:01:38 PM
Among the Kashmiri centric political parties, the National Conference and the PDP, are ahead of sacrificing whatever they have to restore Article 370 and 35-A National Conference has called for effective and immediate measures to instill confidence among the people, saying the party is willing to go an extra mile to defend Art 370, Art 35-A. A meet of political affairs committee (PAC) was held at the party head quarters Nawa e Subha, Srinagar. The meet was called to deliberate on the prevailing situation in the state. Party leadership unanimously impressed upon the government of India to clear the air on current Kashmir conundrum. The party leadership called for urgent measures to infuse confidence among the locals,, adding that the leaders unanimously asserted that the party will fight any infringement upon the special constitutional position of the state
Has there been left in Article 370. Certainly not. This so because several hundred central laws have been extended to the state of Jammu and Kashmir with the approval of the state Legislature. And whenever the state was placed under the Governor's rule he too seemed in favour of applying several central laws to the state Legislature. Which were later approved by the state Legislature. If the National Conference leadership is seen breast beating about the abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A it may be mentioned that during the successive state Governments headed by the National Conference most of the central laws were extended to the state. What is left of the special status? Nothing absolutely. What was left was that the state of Jammu and Kashmir had been given the special status within the Union of India. Yes, if there is breast beating it is all about revocation of Article 35-A that grants separate citizenship. And for the last 65 years refugees from Pakistan have settled in Jammu but they have not been given any state subject.
If Article 35-A is removed it may allow non-state subjects to buy land on which they could set up their industrial units which could guarantee jobs to the youth. Breast beating over abrogation of Article 370 is not called for. And he central Government plans to resolve the problem of unemployment. Hitherto the state and the central Government besides banks would serve as the job giving units. Now the central Public Organisations and the big industrialists would set up their units which could provide jobs to the youth in Jammu and Kashmir. Building enterprises may get the land on which they could plan multi-storeyed buildings. Pharmaceutical companies would flurish by providing jobs to the youth in Jammu and Kashmir.
