Police raid restaurant, arrested person with liquor bottles | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 6: Katra Police raided grace restaurant and arrested one person and recovered 69 number of liquor bottles, 23 no's of liquor quarters of whisky Jammu and Kashmir Excise and 35 number of Beers Cans at Kunya Panthal. As per details, there were complaints from locals that the restaurant was selling liquor to the holy town. On Police raided restaurant and apprehended one person namely Ajay Kumar Sharma son of Shiv Dutt Sharma resident of village Gharota, Tehsil Billawer District Kathua and the owner Pankaj who is running this illegal business is absconding. The owner used to sell and serve liquor in the restaurant and Police party recovered 69 No's of liquor Bottles, 23 No's of liquor Quarters of J&K Excise and 35 No's of Beer cans from his possession. On this, the accused person was arrested and a case FIR No 208/2019 under section 48-F Excise Act was registered at Police Station Katra. The arrest and recovery has been made by SHO PS Katra Inspector Pardeep Gupta assisted by SI Sanjeet Sharma I/C PP Kakryal under the supervision of SDPO Katra Vivek Shekhar- KPS, ASP Katra Naresh Singh- KPS and overall supervision of SSP Reasi Rashmi Wazir- KPS.
