| PDD's need-based, casual workers stage protest | | |

Jammu, Sept 9: The Power Development Department's need-based and casual workers held protest in front of office of Chief Engineer EM&RE Wing, Jammu. in support of their demands, including release of pending wages.
Hundreds of casual/need based worker from all over the Jammu Province take part in the protest and urged the Chief Engineer to release their pending wages as they are without wages from many years.
While addressing the workers Akhil S harm a President All J&K PDD casual/need based worker union said that in the past the Chief Engineer had assured them to release their monthly wages but was never fulfilled, so the workers are forced to take agiiational path.
Sharma warned the administration that if their wages were not released then the workers will go on in definite strike and all the responsibility will be of administration. They were demanding release of pending wages of 3405 workers immediately, monthly pay from wages head (outsourcing) and (Implement of SRC) 381. |
