CTF calls on FM, submits charter of suggestions | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 17: A delegation of Chambers of Traders Federation led by Praveen Khandelwal, National Secretary General, Confederation Of All India Traders (CAIT) called upon, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman here today and handed over a Charter of suggestions. Neeraj Anand, President, CTF emphasised on the need to extend dates for filing of Income Tax and GST returns till the time Internet services are restored in Jammu and Kashmir. A host of other issues facing the trade post abrogation of Article 370 were also discussed. The delegation while assuring support of the trade to the Government in bringing normalcy in J&K and exploring better business opportunities in J&K. Nirmala Sitharaman while giving a patient hearing to the delegation and appreciated approach of the traders assured the delegation that Government is tirelessly working towards ushering in a new era of development in J&K . She assured the delegation to look into issues raised in the memorandum and soon necessary actions will be taken. Anand suggested the Minister to consider extending the dates for filing IT and GST returns till internet services are completely restored in Jammu and Kashmir. The issue of direct Purchase of apples by NAFED besides need to safeguard interests of all stakeholders including cold storage owners, transporters and traders who have invested by way of advance payments towards crop purchase were also deliberated upon. |
