Jammu, Sept 18: Students of Delhi Public School, Jammu brought laurels to the school and their parents by winning 1st position in U-14 & U-17 category in Inter-District Fencing Championship for Girls organized by District Youth Services and Sports held at Guru Harkishan Public School, Jammu from 7-8 September, 2019. The results were Mahima Sharma (VIII-D) - 3rd position in U-14 category, Sanwari Sharma (VII-G) - 1st position in U-14 category, Raaghi Verma (IX-G) - 1st position in U-17 category. Further, Mahima and Sanwari have also been qualified for U-14 category national level championship to be held later at Gujarat while Raaghi Verma was also selected for national school games to be held later at Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra congratulated the winners and their coach, Mandeep Kour for the achievement. She also wished them luck for their upcoming events. |
