One dead, 8 injured in road accident | | | Early Times Report
Doda, Sept 23: One person was killed and eight others were injured when a vehicle in which they were travelling in, skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in Doda district. As per reports available with Early Times, a tempo traveller bearing registration number JK14A-7165 was on its way towards Doda from Gosti village near Bhella at around 10AM. On the information by the local villagers, a rescue operation was launched by the Army personnel and 9 people were shifted to Military Hospital Thalela for first aid treatment and later injured reffered to District Hospital Doda with the help of civil and Ambulance provided by the headquarter 4 Sector RR Thalela where one of serious injured were declared brought dead by the doctors. The passengers included 3 male, 3 female and 3 childern in which 2 male passengers were very serious. It is found that driver of the vehicle managed to escape from the spot; Captain Manish Administrative Officer Military Hospital Doda said. The injured were identified as Anju Devi, Age 21 Yrs, W/o Manish kumar R/o Panchai, Badal Singh, Age 22 Yrs, S/o Amar Singh R/o Malothi, Bandu Devi, Age 19 Yrs, Verta Age 1 ½ Yrs, Pinki Devi Age 28 Yrs, W/o Puspinder singh R/o Malothi, Surti Mindahar, Age 11 Yrs, Manish kumar S/o Bhuri singh R/o Gurekada Age 21 Yrs and Baby of Anju Devi, Age 1 ½ Yrs. |
