Srinagar, Oct 16: Jammu and Kashmir police arrested a person for 'anti-national activities' in downtown, Srinagar, official sources said on Wednesday.
They said one Hayat Ahmad Bhat alias Dar was arrested from Anchar area of the outskirts by police for fomenting trouble in the downtown. "The situation is tense and some stone pelting incidents have also been reported in Anchar and adjoining areas," they added. Anchar and adjoining areas witnessed massive protests after August 5, when the Centre scrapped Article 370 and 35 A, besides divided the state into two Union Territories. |
