Administration's lethargic approach: power hit by windstorm yet to restore | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 18: The non seriousness of administration can be well gauged from the fact that it failed to take swift action after an electric pole fell down due to hard windstorm held last night in Gandhi Nagar area resulted in disruption of traffic movement on that particular road and power has not been restored till date. While narrating the incident, the resident of 193/AD Gandhi Nagar, Deepak Panchnanda told Early Times that last night electric pole near his house fell down due to strong windstorm in entire Jammu due to which the power remained snapped in the area. "We informed the authorities regarding this issue but no one visited the spot. But after making lot of requests to the senior officials of that electric pole which fell down has been creating huge inconvenience in traffic movement resulting in traffic jam in front of my residential area, however, later on the electric pole was lifted in the afternoon today," said Deepak. He further said that the electricity in his area has not been restored till date which shows the sluggishness of the administration. "If problem of such kind cannot be addressed promptly in the area like Gandhi Nagar then what will be situation of other areas. Such lethargic attitude of the administration is unacceptable," he regretted. |
