Block Development Councils to play vital role in area based development: Kavinder | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 21: For the proper and successful execution of various development works entrusted to the Rural Development Department, BDC's shall be playing vital role in area based development was said by Former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta in a public meeting at Bathindi. The meeting was attended by BJP Ch. Vikram Randhawa, Vinay Gupta, Local BJP leaders and Sarpanchs & panches of various Panchayats falling under Block Satwari for the upcoming BDC Elections. Gupta further said that Modi Government is committed to strengthen the government at gross root level by completing the Government structure from Panchayat level onwards. Gupta said for execution of the schemes the Block Development councils shall be responsible for securing peoples participation and maintaining of public enthusiasm in the different programme taken by the Blocks. Panchayats in their respective areas would prepare plans for economic development and social justice and also execute them. To facilitate this, Government has decided to devolve functions to Panchayats (29 subjects as mandated) and also make funds available for doing these. Gupta further added that apart from grants received from the government under the recommendation of the Finance Commission, Panchayats shall receive schematic funds for implementation of various development schemes. Gupta said every eligible voter the block development council should come forward to vote in favour of BJP candidate Arifa Banoo who is a social worker and easily approachable for the works to be executed through the blocks. Modi led Government zero-tolerance to the corruption and have prime agenda of area based development and to fulfil his dreams of 'Developed India' we should come forward to strengthen his hands so as make our motherland the developed one. |
