| JKLSA, Social Welfare Deptt organize meeting of senior citizens | | |  Early Times Report
jammu, Oct 21: J&K Legal Service Authority in collaboration with Social Welfare Department organized a meeting of senior citizens in Lower Roop Nagar.
During discussions /deliberations stress was emphasized upon the sanitation of the building and engagement of one part-time safai karamchari. Strategy was also chalked out for further expansion and development of this centre with the main aim and objective to provide all basic facilities to the needy senior citizens for their good health and care.
It was also decided that some of our members shall pursue the issues to the concerned authorities for the maintenance and welfare of this centre at regular intervals. Besides, one Kewal Krishan Wadhera, a member cum social activist also attended the meeting and deliberated lecture to make the participants aware about environment protection.
He stressed upon for use of cloth handbags instead of polythene bags in future. He also distributed some cloth bags amongst the members in the presence of Incharge social welfare Office. |
