YUVTARANG 2019 enters fifth day of Kalanjali

jammu, Oct 21: YUVTARANG 2019 entered the fifth day of Kalanjali (Performing Arts) segment spread into two days with eleven events, five of which concluded today with colossal participation of students from Constituent colleges and PGI Schools in Mime, Mono Acting, Western Group (Solo), Western Group Song & Orchestra. The contest is being organised by office of Dean Students Welfare under the patronship of Prof. Anju Bhasin, Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu.
Prof. Ravinder Tickoo, Principal, GCW, Gandhi Nagar graced the Prize Distribution Ceremony.
Ifra Kak, Cultural Officer (Jammu University), Mr, Vikrant, Head 92.7, Sanjeev Gupta (Cultural Officer, JKAACL) were the adjudicators for Mime and Mono acting Contest. In Western Vocal (Solo) and Western Group Song the jury comprised of Naresh Sharma (String Academy) Jagdeep Singh (Doordarshan) & Prof. Neeraj Sharma (GDC, Kunjwani). Naresh Sharma (Strings Academy), Prof. Parveen Sabharwal (Retd. Principal and noted Musician) & Vikrant, Head 92.7adjudged the Orchestra Contest. In Mime School of Social Sciences clinched the 1st position while GCW, Gandhi Nagar and SPMR College of Commerce bagged the 2nd and 3rd prizes. In Mono acting, Garima Sharma (SPMR College of Commerce) bagged the 1st prize while Mohd. Abid and Pranav Koul (GGM Science College) won the 2nd prize while Priya Sharma (GCW Gandhi Nagar) clinched the 3rd prize. In Western Vocal Solo, Vishesh (SPMR College of Commerce) won the Gold medal while Anmol (GCW Gandhi Nagar) won the Silver and Anchal Bharti (GGM Science College) won the Bronze medal. In Western Group Solo, SPMR team clinched the 1st position while Govt. MAM College team clinched the 2nd position and GGM Science College bagged the 3rd position. In Orchestra, GGM Science College were declared 1st while GCW Gandhi Nagar clinched the 2nd position. The programme was coordinated by Prof. Aekta Gupta, Convener Cultural Committee and Prof. Surjeet Kour (GCW Gandhi Nagar) and Dr. Davinder Kour, Cultural Coordinator, CLUJ under the overall Supervision of Dr. Banpreet Kour and Prof. Sunil Uppal, Associate Deans, Dr. Devinder K. Sharma and Dr. Geetanjali Rajput, Assistant Deans, Students Welfare.
