Jammu, Oct 21: Movement for Peace, Equality and Justice has criticized the BJP for holding BDC elections without implementation of 73rd amendment in J&K. The members of MPEJ G.S. Charak, S. Gurtaj Singh, Dr. L.A. Magrey, O.R.Bhall, R.P. Khajuria, R.S. Chauhan & K.K.Rao said that the BDC polls are not gateway to development but it is a gateway to corruption and to develop their own henchmen through backdoor entry and provided them chances to distribute the booty already done by erstwhile all traditional parties. They further said that the BJP at the helm of affairs must understand that people are wise enough to read between the lines and smell the rat that Governors administration under President rule want to extend benefit to the BJP alone as leaders of all political Parties except BJP have been release a day before and three former Chief Ministers are still under detention, though in their own home leaving them no time for campaigning, the release said. The MPEJ members also raised questions over privatization of power sector in the state, implementation of Motor Vehicle Act beside other issues. |
