Udhampur, Nov 17: Rotary Club and Rotary Eye & General Welfare Foundation in collaboration with Rotary Club of Delhi Mid West, Delhi East End, Fortis Escort Heart Institute, New Delhi and Gift of Life Trust (New Delhi) organised a free CHD medical detection camp here today. Deputy Commissioner, Dr Piyush Singla, inaugurated the camp. Rtn A. C. Peter, National Co-coordinator Gift of Life, Rtn H. M. P. Singh, and Chairman Gift of Life Trust (Delhi NCR), Rtn D. N. Sharma, Co-coordinator Gift of Life, Rtn Col. Hargovind Singh (Retd.) President Rotary Club Udhampur and other club members were present on the occasion. The objective of the camp was to screen the patients from the weaker section of the society who had acute heart problems under the age of 18 years. During the camp, 107 patients were examined and 45 patients were referred for free surgeries by the doctors from Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi Dr Tarun Ramman (Surgeon) and Dr Ankit Garg (Cardiologist). |
