| CAO Command Area visits Jakh, Sarore | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 20: Chief Agriculture Officer Command Area Development Jammu Jahangir Shafi visited the farmers field of Jakh, Sarore and other areas of Samba District to monitor the progress of various farmers welfare schemes.
Chief Agriculture Officer picked the first pick of Button Mushroom at Demonstration cum training centre Rakh Dhyansar. The centre has established 600 bags of button mushroom where approximately yield of 8 to 9 quintals of button mushroom is expected during he current year. The Demonstration Cum Training centre imparting the training to mushroom growers of Samba District. During the current year 230 farmers of village Nud, Dhora, Taloor, Sumbh, Jalla, Birpur and Chajwal have been trained at their respective Panchayats. Interacting with farmers at Rakh Dhyyansar, he said that the cultivation of Mushroom boost the farmers income. He asked them to diversify their farming through apiculture, Mushroom and adoption of good agriculture practices to achieve the goal of doubling the farmers income by 2022. |
