Early Times Report SAMBA, Nov 20: A three day eye camp for Cataract screening cum surgery concluded today here at PHC Nud. The camp was organized under National Programme for Control of Blindness & Visual Impairment (NPCB &VI) under the supervision of Chief Medical Officer Samba Dr. Rajinder Samyal. Patients from across Block Nud besides Sarpanchs, Panchs and prominent citizens participated in the camp. Around 149 patients were screened for various eye aliments in the camp & 17 patients were registered for cataract surgery. Eight patients were found fit & were operated on November 19 at District Hospital, Samba whereas rest will be operated upon when they are fit after treatment. The patients were also provided free medicines and food by District Hospital Samba. These patients will be provided spectacles free of cost. The people visiting the camp were from local & remote village of Nud, Sarain, Dhergarh, Bhupnergarh, Jamoora, Multh ,Kassi, Kaloha, Sadyali, Kank etc. The Medical team is comprised of Dr. Pramila Kumari, Consultant Ophthalmologist, DH Samba, Dr. Suresh Chander Sharma, Consultant Ophthalmologist, Accidental Hospital Ghagwal, Dr. Deepak Rajan, Opthlamic Technician, District Hospital, Samba & Mohinder Kumar, Opthlamic Technician CHC Ramgarh. |
