Samba, Dec 1: Continuing its drive against the bovine smuggling in the area, District Police Samba has foiled bovine smuggling bid by rescuing five cattle at NHW Tapyal in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal.
A Police Party of Police Station Ghagwal headed by SHO Ghagwal, Inspector Sudhir Sadhotra under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs. Samba, Tilak Raj Bhardwaj while performing vehicle checking duty at naka NHW Tapyal intercepted a Mahindra vehicle bearing Regd. No. JK08F-0188 which was coming from Kathua side.
During checking of the said vehicle, five cattle were found inside the vehicle which was being transported illegally without any permission. All the cattle rescued and shifter to safer place. The vehicle used for transporting the bovines was also seized on the spot. In this regard, a case FIR No. 105/2019 U/S 188 IPC, 2/3 PCA Act has been registered. |
