Rajouri, Dec 1: Suffered by huge damage to their crops the farmer of district Rajouri sought adequate compensation from the government of Union Territory of J&K. Taking to media persons here today the affected former said the alert was issued by the Meteorological Department that there could be heavy rains and heavy snowfall from Jammu and Kashmir and it became true. "Due to heavy rain and snowfall that took place recently in the district Rajouri and other part of UT of J&K as well, the farmers community suffered alot", they said. The farmers and the Sarpanch Shafiat Badhoon-A, said that the farmers used to live on this crop, but due to rains and snowfall, 80% crops of our paddy crop have been damaged. "We appeal to the government and the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir that the farmers who had taken KCC loan from the bank should be compensated." |
